We ain't got no innocence.

Hell, we can't even think of a word that rhymes.

As many of you know, I'm a big believer in not following any trends until they are about five years gone. Which makes it the perfect time for Matt and I to start watching LOST from the beginning.

Mom of the year alert: I never watch big people TV or movies when the kids are awake. But dude, I was SO into the last two episodes of the first season, I stayed in my pajamas on Saturday morning and parked my butt on the couch. The Wiggles were on in the playroom, but apparently Fruit Salad couldn't hold their attention for as long as I needed. Again, my kids aren't easily scared, so I guess that's why I was cool with them snuggling with me on the couch while I turned on, tuned in, and dropped out. They really liked it, and stayed so still and quiet, unlike any other times they watch television. I'm guessing if they don't start having nightmares, it's a win-win.

Nat came home with this picture that she drew in kindergarten today:

It is called "Lost in the forest." Note the black smoke. I'm undecided if this is related to Saturday morning.

She also brought home 2 Flowers:

3 Houses:

And 4 Flowers:

I was so inspired by the back-to-school season that I just took an adult tap class. I found a box with three pairs of tap shoes in my closet, only one of which fits. I am still not sure why I can't throw them away, but I've been known to hoard. (I can't throw away twist ties and, apparently, tap shoes.) My feet grew an entire shoe size when I was pregnant with Nat. Thank goodness the same thing did not happen with Daniel and Eve, because I'm pretty sure that you gotta special order those sizes. I'd probably just attach the taps to my bare feet, like horse shoes.
Matt has started his last semester at school. He was on track to finish last year, but something came up. I can tell he is excited to get back to the grind. His creative juices are already flowing! Last night he came up with an awesome idea that you would totally buy, (I'm talking better than a Snuggie) but we couldn't figure out if someone else already has one out there. I didn't want to Google it, because you know how Google is. We don't want Google stealing our Googles. So I guess we'll just never know if it's out there. But trust me, it was going to be super-awesome.

  1. Unfortunately, Blogger is run by Google and you know how they are. Driving around tapping into people's networks, saying they are just trying to triangulate some nonsense.
