Christy that video is awesome - I hope you've shared that with Duke Children's Health Center and as many advocacy groups as you can - that would make an awesome awareness campaign. How can anyone not love Eve!
So darn precious, being that survivor of cancer for the last 42 years, the late effects are making me face things I wish I never had to but not one day goes by that I am bitter for the things that were done to save my life, because I am the lucky one as Eve is. I am honored that because of my treatment for Wilms many years ago, your little Eve will have fewer effects from treatment. Thanks for awareness rememberance!
Eve was diagnosed at age 2 with bilateral Wilms Tumor (cancer of the kidneys), focal anaplasia, in October 2009. She underwent 12 weeks of aggressive chemotherapy before having a nephrectomy in January 2010, followed by radiation therapy and more chemo at Duke Children's, completing treatment in May 2010.
